International booking agency Artery Global (AG) has launched AG Sports, a new division focusing on representation for professional athletes and sports managers.

London- and Carmichael, California-based AG – whose AG Music division represents artists including Slaves (North America), Rolo Tomassi (worldwide), CKY (worldwide), Bam Margera (North America) and Youth in Revolt (North America) – hopes to “revolutionise the world of professional sports management” with the new division, which will be headed up by Artery Global founder Trevor Swenson and new hires A’lon Santiago, Sammy David and Daryl Jacobs.

Santiago has worked with Seattle Sounders FC and the Seattle Mariners baseball team, and has a background in sports management with Worldwide Career Management, while David is a lawyer in Illinois with experience negotiating contracts, as well as a longtime sports agent. Jacobs joins as a basketball analyst, having worked for ESPN3, Sports Radio America and NEC Front Row Network.

Swenson (pictured) says: “I couldn’t be more excited for the expansion of AG with AG Sports. We feel we have built a team of extremely qualified people to represent the young and current athletes and coaches of today’s professional sports world.”

AG launched in 2013 with only three staff members, 18 bands and one office. It now has 13 employees and a roster of more than 400 artists worldwide.
